Our Company History

Founded in 1999, Bill Clerke and his former partner established a residential remodeling company with the intention of providing the Phoenix area with higher quality products and unmatched service.  They quickly grew out the home office and found themselves with a successful store front and custom shop in Tempe.   In 2005, the business relocated to the 2500sqft Chandler showroom we still call home today.

William Jackson Inc. has successfully completed hundreds of remodel projects in Chandler, Gilbert, Mesa, Tempe, Phoenix, and Scottsdale.  While representing the Medallion cabinetry line, William Jackson Inc. has been fortunate enough to achieve national sales awards for consecutive years (’05 – ’08) while continuing to be within the top 100 national sales through 2016.

When you visit our showroom you will find a relaxed atmosphere where professional, knowledgeable staff with more than 35 years of experience in the industry, will guide you through computer generated designs and hands on selections. Using state of the art computer aided design, we are able to take your ideas and bring them to life in a 3D computer environment giving you the oportunity to visualize your project. Unlike the home improvment stores, a single associate will work with you from the initial cabinetry selections to the final walk thru, ensuring a successful project and your satisfaction.

William Clerke

Bill Clerke

Owner/Operator

William Clerke grew up in Long Island, New York where he worked for over 25 years in construction industry. With a struggling economy in New York, Bill moved his family to the Gilbert area in 1995 and found himself in a thriving Phoenix market. After working for a few local corporations, Bill became a small business owner in 1998 by cofounding his own construction company which would later evolve into the William Jackson Inc. you see today. Bill’s unmatched experience, knowledge, and drive has provided the foundation for a successful career and continues by taking the leadership role in a shaping William Jackson Inc. future.

Design and Project Management

As an Arizona native, Mike Ambrose has watched the landscape of the greater Phoenix area transform and evolve throughout the years. After graduating college with a bachelors in information systems, Mike soon found out the suppressed economy was no place for an entry level college grad and began working in the custom woodworking shop owned by his soon to be father-in-law; Bill Clerke. Mike eventually progressed into a design/sales position where he began to show his passion for design development and customer relations. Now with over 12 years of project management and design experience, Mike is leading the company sales/design team with enthusiasm and proficiency.

Gavin Pugh

Project Manager/ Master Craftsman

Gavin Pugh grew up in a small town in central New York and worked side by side with his father and their construction business. After attending college, Gavin made the trip west to settle in the Gilbert area in 2006 working for various remodel companies honing his skills and growing a loyal customer base. Gavin obtained his general contracting license and owned a successful business for a short while before joining forces with the William Jackson Inc. team in 2013. Gavin’s unique set of skills and attention to detail taken William Jackson Inc. to the next level by offering a greater assortment of construction services. Serving as William Jackson Inc. project manager and master craftsman, Gavin assures the project’s success with a hands on approach.
